Why Do We Need To Know About Lens Manufacturing Processes?
A lens is an optical device used to focus images onto photographic film or electronic sensors. It consists of two main parts: the front element and the rear element. The front element is made up of glass or plastic and is shaped into a convex surface called the meniscus. The rear element is usually made of glass or plastic and shaped into a concave surface called the diaphragm. Together, these elements form what is known as the “optical system.”
